Installing Zabbix on a server. On it’s own not the most difficult job, but it’s something that needs to be done thoughtfully.
Up front decisions must be made, how will we be building the server, which database, what format, how to design the everything to work together and more.
- CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu or some other distro?
- SELinux enabled, or disabled?
- Database partitioning done now, or later (if needed)?
- Do we have to tune the database settings, or are the defaults sufficient?
Some examples of questions where the answer needs to be clear before installing Zabbix. We’re doing these installations on a daily base and are thus capable of providing you the best advise you can imagine.
